Creative Glass Serbia

Open call: Participation in Creative Glass LAB in Denmark, Serbia and Slovenia

05.05.2026. We invite 12 glass designers and creatives to participate in the international Creative Glass Labs workshop series.

If you work with glass as a creative medium, you are invited to apply for the Creative Glass Labs programme, taking place between August and November 2026* in three countries.

Participants will collaboratively explore innovative and sustainable approaches to contemporary glassmaking. Each participate will be able to produce a final glass work to be exhibited at Materials Week at Center Rog in April 2027.

Programme and locations

Holmegaard Works (Fensmark, Denmark), 18–20 August 2026
A three-day seminar and in-situ visits exploring how Danish glass heritage can inspired contemporary design.

Center Rog (Ljubljana, Slovenia), 10–12 September 2026
A three-day design sprint focused on developing sustainable functional glass objects.

Creative Glass Serbia (Belgrade & Paraćin, Serbia), 15–18 October 2026
A collaborative lab exploring traditional glass techniques through contemporary, community-based practices developing glass objects.

What we offer

  • Travel reimbursement up to €600 (terms apply) or based on the travel expenses necessary to participate in the Labs.
  • Free shared/individual accommodation based on location. 
  • Daily meals or allowance (depending on location)
  • Study visits to glassmaking workshops and ecosystems in Denmark, Slovenia, and Serbia
  • Support in producing a final glass work
  • Mentorship, lectures, and technical guidance
  • Coverage of material costs for experimentation and production
  • Networking with an international community of glass professionals and creatives
  • Participation in the final exhibition at Materials Week 2027 (Center Rog)

What is not covered

  • Visa costs (if applicable)
  • Health insurance or EU health card
  • Local transportation and personal expenses (depending on location). 

Who can apply

  • Creatives, glass artists and designers with experience or interest in working with glass
  • Applicants residing in a Creative Europe country

  • CV (PDF, max. 1 page)
  • Portfolio (PDF, max. 3 pages, including visual material of past projects)
  • Link to a short video (up to 2 minutes introducing yourself and your motivation)
