Creative Glass Forum 2026 brings together artists, educators, researchers, and glass industry experts to explore contemporary approaches in working with glass, with a special focus on the concept of circular glass. This event is the one of activity in the celebration of 180 years of organised glass production in Serbia and project “Glassmaking Tradition Meets Innovation”.
This year’s theme “Circular Glass” examines glass as a material, an educational tool, and an artistic metaphor, as well as its role in circularity, sustainability, cultural expression, and artistic poetics. The forum links traditional knowledge with contemporary innovations, including digital tools and interdisciplinary approaches in education and artistic practice.
The programme features lectures, discussions, and the exchange of experiences on how knowledge about glass is transmitted, developed, and applied within educational and industrial contexts, and how sustainability can be promoted through creative and circular practices.
The Forum is organized through the project “Glassmaking Tradition Meets Innovation” implemented by the Foundation for the Advancement of Economics, the Rog Center (Slovenia), the Institute for Creative Entrepreneurship and Innovation – Creative Glass Serbia Initiative, and Museum Sydøstdanmark (Denmark). The project is funded by the European Union and supported by the Vaider Srpska fabrika stakla, Paraćin.
