At the Canvas Community Centre in Skadarlija, the promotion of the book Glass: Heritage, Art, Creative Economy, Technology took place, attracting a large audience and members of the professional community. The venue was filled to capacity, reflecting strong interest in glass as an artistic, cultural, and technological phenomenon.
The book was presented by its authors – Hristina Mikić, Estela Radonjić-Živkov, Tamara Ognjević, Jelena Nikolić, Ana Vujošević, and Ivana Mišković – who highlighted the importance of glass as part of both industrial and cultural heritage, as well as its potential in contemporary art and the creative industries. The discussion was moderated by Edin Jašarović from the Faculty of Dramatic Arts in Cetinje.
The audience had the opportunity to learn more about the creation of the book, the research behind it, contemporary artistic practices in the field of glass, and the establishment of Serbian-American collaboration in this area.
„Staklo: nasleđe, umetnost, kreativna ekonomija, tehnologija“ through a series of authorial chapters and interviews, the book opens important discussions about the role of glass in culture, art, technology, and the economy, aiming to further affirm this field and make it more accessible to a wider audience.
