The Creative Glass LAB was organized to redesign old packaging- the 780 ml Paraćin jars using traditional glassmaking techniques, primarily those employed in the 19th and early 20th centuries, such as engraving, etching, painting, and cutting. Lab was held in the village of Nepričava.
During the lab, participants learned how to transform old Paraćin glass jars into new functional objects, as well as how to apply these techniques for redesigning packaging for their own products if they use glass jars or containers.
The lab was implemented as part of the German Development Cooperation project “Perspectives for Youth in Rural Areas of Serbia”, supported by GIZ in partnership with the Ministry of Tourism and Youth of the Republic of Serbia, and supported through the project “A New Face of Rural Women”, organized by the Center for Socially Responsible Entrepreneurship (CDOP). The initiative aims to empower young women, members of ethnic minorities, and returnees living and working in rural areas of Serbia.
